The 1st of March is always a turning point for us. I know there are 20 more days of late winter. However, we generally start potting a lot of new plants on that date. The days are a little longer at that time of the year, and the sun peeks through the clouds a little more often. As a result, inside the greenhouses the temperatures can often be 20-40 degrees warmer than outside. It feels like Spring!
Right now we are preparing for that very special date. We are trying to find, procure, and propagate what we think are the best plants for gardens and landscapes in our region. We are even doing some design work for gardens that were started but not completed in 2014. Often landscaping seems to happen in phases.
If you have a landscape project you need help with, please contact us.
Help would include consulting: maybe you need a second pair of eyes to take a look. We also draw designs for new construction projects, as well as redesigning existing gardens. We can plant, mulch, and maintain your landscape, with spring cleanup, seasonal pruning, fall trimming. Let us know how we can earn your business.
It’s not too early to start planning your landscape project. Every year, generally 90% of everybody shows up April 1st to begin their landscape projects. Don’t wait; be part of the 10%. If you start planning your project now, you can reserve your plants early before certain super cool plants sell out. In addition to our large inventory that we grow all year long, we have a huge selection of plants that will be delivered throughout spring for you to choose from.
Tomorrow’s temperature is supposed to be -11. Maybe planning your landscape project will make it seem a little warmer than that. If you need some help, give Shawn a call at 260-414-6213 or John at 574-253-3522. We want to be your nursery this spring!
We couldn't be happier with the landscaping they designed and installed!
