There is an incredible selection of new plants at Blue River Nursery this Spring. I will just mention a few that I think would be outstanding additions to any ones garden.Honeycrisp Apple Trees have incredible flavor compared to all other apples. This would be an excellent choice of fruit tree for the gardener that is interested in growing their own fruit. These plants are in 7 gallon cans with 1” caliper trunks and will fruit the first year or year after. We are recommending Cortland as a pollinator. We also have a great selection of Japanese Stewartia trees. These trees have an attractive exfoliating bark, flower during the summer when other trees do not flower and have great fall color. One of my favorite plants is the Creeping Blue Spruce, aka Picea pungens ‘Procumbens’. We have a group of ten or so that are staked up one foot high that will make excellent specimen plants in the future. We have an excellent selection of fall and spring blooming Anemones. There is also a nice crop of Monkshood, Fischeri.. This is an excellent plant for Fall color. Flowers are beautiful blue. All parts of this plant are poisonous. I do not recommend it if you have small children or animals. However the flowers are stunning! The much sought after Dragon Eye Pines are available in mass at Blue River Nursery this year in 3 gallon cans. This is a nice crop of plants do not miss out on these if you have been considering buying one for a while. They are ready to go in the ground at your house now!
We couldn't be happier with the landscaping they designed and installed!
